Island Peak is a combination of a great trek and an ideal climb for aspiring Himalayan mountaineers. It is also known as Imja Tse, an imposing summit rising above 6,189m nested in the heart of the Khumbu region above the glaciated valley. It is the most popular summit hike over 6000m in the Khumbu, mostly non-technical but the basic understanding of climbing skills is always an advantage. Ascent to Island Peak is a superb entry for experienced trekkers and novice mountain climbers who want to seek the taste of climbing in higher and outrageous peaks above 6,000 meters.

The trip begins in Kathmandu where you explore the diversity of the capital and cultural hub of Nepal. Leaving Kathmandu, we take a short rollercoaster flight into the mountain strip of Lukla, the entranceway to the Everest. Our itinerary is well designed to acclimatise gradually whilst trekking up the Khumbu Valley, before climbing Island Peak. The trek follows the legendary route of Sherpa Country; where you spend nights in the tea-house lodges run by Sherpa Families set against soaring altitudes, before a trek to Dingboche via the prosperous village of Namche. From here, you embark for the climb of Island Peak; which provides moderate challenge for climbers. Standing atop the summit.

Everest 3 Pass Trek is a strenuous yet exhilarating trek that takes you through three different valley systems in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The trek takes you through three high passes in the Everest region—Renjo La Pass (5340m), Cho La Pass (5420m), and Kongma La Pass (5,535m)—as you climb up and explore the much-admired Gokyo Lakes. Eventually, you confront the mighty Everest (8848m) at the Everest Base Camp and climb up to Kalapatthar where you can enjoy the panoramic views of the Himalayas. The journey is complemented by visits to Sherpa villages and monasteries which will give you an insight into the quiet yet vibrant Sherpa culture.

Your trek begins with a short flight over the majestic Himalayas to the most dangerous airstrip in the world, Lukla. Then you trek to Namche Bazaar, the Gateway to Everest. Several mountains can be sighted along the way. As you acclimatize to the high altitude of Namche, you will have plenty of time to explore the Sherpa village and its culture, where the tales of the abominable snowman of Asia, the Yeti, is forever-popular. A hike to the Everest View Hotel (3962m) will reward you with the majesty of the panoramic mountains. The trail takes you to the village of Thame, the home to Tenzing Norgay Sherpa, from where you come across the first of the three passes, Renjo La (5360m), to reach Gokyo. The six freshwater lakes surrounded by the majestic mountains make a really rewarding view. You spend a day exploring the Gokyo Lakes and later the trail moves on to the second pass, Cho-La (5420m), after crossing the largest Ngozumpa Glacier. Then ascending along the Khumbu Glacier, you first reach Everest Base Camp and then Kala Patthar, both of them offering an amazing view of the Khumbu Himalayas. The last pass of the trek, Kongma La (5,535m), requires a strenuous effort as you traverse through Khumbu Glacier to reach the pass. The gradual descent passes through several monasteries and villages to reach Lukla for a flight back to the capital. All in all, it’s a must-do trek.

Everest Himalaya is one of the most prominent trekking agencies in Nepal offering various packages to trek in the Himalayas. With our team of highly experienced guides, we make sure your safety and comfort are never disturbed. With us, you will have the freedom to explore and make memories during the trek as you wouldn’t need to worry about any of the services

Get the best of both worlds by trekking to the base of the highest mountain in the world and flying over the high Himalayas. The Everest Base Camp Heli Trek is an ideal chance for everyone to appreciate the greatness of the mighty Himalayas spread across the horizon in Khumbu. The dignified Mount Everest (8848m) along with Lhotse (8414m), Nuptse (7861m), Pumori (7161m), and many more provide stunning views throughout the trek while you traverse through the traditional villages of Sherpas. Flying above the picturesque settlements, elevated snow-covered peaks, and glaciers truly can be a proud moment for praising the artwork of nature in Nepal.

The Everest Base Camp Heli Trek has a total of ten days with eight being spent in the lap of great mountains. Those days might feel short as the whole trekking region is compact with such extreme scenic beauty after all. Marking the beginning of the journey from the capital city, the trekking route takes you to the beautiful villages in the mountainous region. Throughout the trek, you will reach the places like Lukla, Phakding, Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, and Everest Base Camp. The unique Solukhumbu district has respected Sherpas who are considered expert mountain climbers and guides. With the strong influence of Buddhism, many monasteries can be seen along the way. The trek features the ancient Tengboche Monastery which is considered the most sacred by the Sherpas in the Khumbu region. The trails take you through deep forests to the rocky hill to glacial moraines which finally end in Everest Base Camp (5364m). The view of the Khumbu Himalayas seen from the base camp cannot be seen from anywhere else in the world, and the feeling of standing at the base of the mighty Everest (8848m) is enough to make one feel proud of the journey endured. The Heli ride back to Kathmandu flies you above the high Himalayas and allows you to relish the enormity of the mountains.
The day consists of a long trek from Dingboche to Lobuche. Although the pathways are rocky with a few small houses along, the trail offers intensely beautiful scenarios. You first ascend to Dughla on a stony terrain with breathtaking views of the mountains and rocky hills. Then walking on lateral moraines of Khumbu Glacier, you reach Lobuche. Overnight in Lobuche.

Everest Himalaya is absolutely proud to claim that we provide you with the best services using all the available resources making your trip easy and fun. Our local experienced guides have been in the tourism industry for years, and we assure your safety so that you can enjoy the trek freely. If we’ve met your expectations, we will be more than happy to be at your service in the future too.

The sparkling, pristine blue and green waters of the Gokyo Lakes are one of Nepal’s most memorable sights. They comprise the highest freshwater lake system in the world, at around 5,000 meters. The Gokyo Lakes trek is ideal for people who want to trek in the Everest region, but who want more variety of views and fewer nights spent at very high altitude.

As well as trekking to the six glacial-fed Gokyo Lakes, trekkers can include a climb to the top of Gokyo Ri, which is at the same altitude as Everest Base Camp. From the summit, you will enjoy spectacular views of Everest and other very high mountains and glaciers.
